It is a gas fireplace. There is no wood and nothing to build.
The switch is on the right-hand side. Flip it on the same way you would a light, and flip it off the same way.
Please
- The glass front gets very hot and stays hot for a while after you turn it off. Keep children and pets away from it, and keep blankets, clothes and anything else that can burn well back.
- Turn it off before you go to bed and whenever everyone leaves the house.
- If it does not light, leave it off. Do not keep flipping the switch. Text us and let us know. It is a nice extra, not the heating — the thermostat heats the house.
- If you smell gas, turn it off, open a window, get everyone out, and call 911 from outside.
