- Water leak or overflowing toilet — every toilet and sink has a small shutoff valve on the wall pipe beneath it. Turn it clockwise until it stops. Then call us straight away, even at night.
- Power out in part of the house — text us. The breaker panel is not in a guest area.
- Gas shutoff — outside, at the meter. Only if you smell gas and only if you can reach it safely. Otherwise get out and call 911.
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in every bedroom and the hallway. If one chirps once a minute it needs a battery, not evacuation. If it alarms continuously, get everyone out and call from outside.
